  • Classes start as soon as a student registers. Classes are self -paced. Students are encouraged to complete classes within three months of enrollment date.

    Clinicals start every first Monday of every month. Students that have completed the required 16 hours of classroom study(this is required by the state before any hands on training can be performed) , will be enrolled in the clinical orientation for that current month.

  • Students on average finish all studies in two and a half to three months.

  • Background Check - $55.00 is due with application

    Tuition - Payment Plan - $ 270.00 for 4 months or one time payment of $1,080

    Books is included in tuition

    Students have to purchase:

    (2-4 ) sets of Scrubs, watch with second hand, tennis shoes, manual blood pressure cuff & stethoscope set, gait belt, thermometer with sleeves.

  • On average it takes only 3 business days. However it can take 3-7 business days, sometimes longer if there is a issue with receiving documents or results from background screening.

  • Yes, Blue Sky CNA Institute is Certified by the State of Texas.

    1. Complete Your Training: You must successfully complete the required classroom instruction and 40 hours of clinical training with Blue Sky CNA Institute.

    2. Receive Approval to Test: Once your training is complete, Blue Sky CNA Institute will approve you through the Texas Nurse Aide Portal and email you a clearance letter, confirming your eligibility to take the state exam.

    3. Schedule Your Exam: Contact Prometric, the official administrator for state nursing exams. You will need to schedule your exam date and pay the examination fee directly to them.

    4. Pass the State Exam: You must pass the state-administered Nurse Aide Competency Exam, which includes both a written test and a skills performance evaluation.

    5. Get Certified: Upon passing the exam, you will be officially listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry. This registration serves as your certification as a CNA in the state of Texas.

  • Yes, CNA licenses must be renewed every two years.

    To renew, a nurse aide must:

    • Verify employment:
      Provide documentation showing continued employment as a nurse aide within the two-year period. 

    • Complete in-service education:

    • Obtain at least 24 hours of in-service education every two years, including training in geriatrics and dementia care. 

    • Complete renewal application:
      Submit a renewal application through the TULIP system. 

    • No restrictions:
      Ensure there are no registry entries or criminal convictions that would restrict renewal.
